At a glance...
- Cream is my middle name. I LOVE cream. Fresh cream is my favorite food, end of story.
- I'm a dog person who also loves cats. My senior Lhasa/Shih tzu, Emmy, is more cat than dog and thinks she can take on German Shepherds.
- The forest is my happy place, but I also adore the ocean. I just love all nature.
- I started learning Royal Conservatory piano at five years old and graduated grade 10 (piano) at nineteen. I can still play 4 and a half pieces.
- I've wanted to write an epic fiction novel since I was about 3 minutes old. I've made multiple attempts, but no finished projects.
- I used to sing and play guitar and released my EP in 2020. It no longer feels like "me" but I'd love to write music again some day.
- I rarely crave anything other than fresh oranges.
- My idea of a delicious beverage is bubbly mineral water, half a squeezed lime, a teaspoon or two of maple syrup, and fresh mint. I guess that's basically a virgin mojito.
- I got my level one Yoga Teacher Training certificate when I was twenty-one and it took me ten years to teach my first class... and even that was a bit of a fluke.
- I got diagnosed with Hashimoto's and Hypothyroidism at twenty-seven and have been managing it ever since with diet and lifestyle - no meds.
- I'm the girl who's tried to restrict her way to health countless times. I thought less food was better. I tried vegetarian, low fat, high carb/high fat, low carb, mainly-fruit, AIP (autoimmune protocol), water fasting, and raw vegan. Needless to say, I am not a proponent of ANY of these ways of eating (or not eating) at this time. I currently eat a well-balanced, whole foods diet centered around bio-available protein, healthy fats (mostly saturated), nutrient dense carbohydrates, and chocolate. The best "diet" is the one that is sustainable, minimizes stress, and makes you feel alive!

Jivani 200hr Yoga Teacher Training 2016
This was an incredible experience in the jungles of Costa Rica. It was literally a trial by fire and I was spat out of those flames fully transformed. I started the training feeling ready to teach, and ended it feeling like I needed to learn so much more before I could even think about teaching! After a fluke had me leading my first yoga class in ten years, I'm thinking I love it and want to do more.
CSNN's Introductory Certificate to Holistic Nutrition 2019
This was me dipping my toes into the idea of earning a credential in holistic nutrition. I loved it, but realized quickly that the plant based lifestyle (as promoted by CSNN) was not for me.
NTA's Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program 2023-2024
This was the one. It blew all of my expectations out of the water and left me feeling truly ready to start working as an NTP! Highly recommend.
